L (Africa) V E

I watched this Invisible Children movie last night. The trailer hardly does it justice, it was a super well-done film about internally displaced people in Northern Uganda.



Having been to Africa on two different occasions, I was particularly struck by the film.

In somewhat related news Fall is around the corner, so check out some of the new stuff the dudes over at Krochet Kids International have going on.

If you aren't familiar with the KKI guys' program... take a second to read about it. They're super legit guys with a great heart for the people of Uganda.

Also, these guys have had some amazing ideas over the years, but this might be one of their best yet... they now have a tag inside each beanie that lets you know which of the wonderful ugandan ladies crocheted your hat.  Rad.

Our friends over at Krochet Kids have a really rad thing going. They went to Uganda, taught the women how to crochet, bought them a house and employ something like 11 women full time who crochet beanies and the guys sell them over here.











































Super rad dudes, with really good hearts and they surf good too.

Black Market Bazaar - 12/20

Saturday morning, we're going to be down at the Black Market Bazaar selling some shirts and taking some board orders. 

It's right next to Alta Coffee on 31st street, and we're going to be there from 10 am to 4 pm, so come down and visit us.

Last night was the event at Pepperdine to raise money for St. Jude's Hospital.  Big thanks to all the girls for letting us come up and participate.

We had a blast preparing for, and during, the event.  We actually built 16 feet of fence and brought it as a backdrop for our booth.  Here are a few pictures of the night...
