Log Rhythm for Jack

Jack, a friend of Gully's, enjoying the spoils of his 16th birthday... a 9'6 Log Rhythm.

Laura Lumberjack

Laura and Kenzo came down from Malibu the other day to pick up Laura's new 9'2 Lumberjack.

For safety reasons (and style points) three of us carried it to her car.

There is still some debate as to whether or not it was safer or more stylish...

Gone Fishing

Scanned this photo out of a scrapbook of my great-grandfather's, that I found at my Grandparent's house.

Fly fishing rod and Rainbow Trout in 1964.

Rhombus D-Fin by Gully

Raising the bar on his glue-ups, Gully did this checkered D-fin with little rhombuses instead of squares.

Here is Clutch Kile, glassing Gully's handiwork onto a new 9'6 Surf Thump for Ron Herman Japan. (As always... hand-shaped by Dr. Neumann-Kyle inside the walls of the Waterman's Guild)

Gully is Turning 16

Stop by next Tuesday and wish Gully a happy birthday.

Dave DaVinci | At it Again...

Possibly the biggest leap in technology that the hand-plane has seen since the adjustable-strap...

The bi-lateral asymmetrical hand-plane.

Go left, then flip it over and go right.

Still haven't figured out what the benefit of an asymmetrical hand-plane is... but don't write it off yet, we'll think of something...
