What the.....?
Not to post about Christian every week, but I just stumbled across these photos on wetsand, and couldn't pass them up.
This sequence from the 2009 Noosa Noseriding Contest blows my mind...

Almond Logs | Lightner Photo
Here's a rad shot that Kyle Lightner took at our Grand Opening, 3 weeks ago. I don't have a clue how he makes stuff look so cool... but I like it.

Newport Classic Contest
"King Rat" took home first place in the Longboard division of today's 10th Annual Newport Classic surf contest, on his extra narrow 9'2 Log Rhythm.
Photo: Oden
Other Almond enthusiasts, Michael Maddox and Taylor Patton finished 3rd and 4th respectively, in a super-stacked final heat.
Good work boys.

Fineline Hull
If you're looking for a hull, we have a nice Fineline at the shop right now. Owner is hoping to get $450 for it. It's in super good shape. I took it for a spin last week, and was super tempted to just keep it for myself. However, I have no need for a new surfing board at the moment. So take advantage of this wonderfhull opportunity.
If you're interested, send me an email or stop by...

9'7 Surf Thump at Thalia
Possibly my favorite board we've done, a 9'7 Surf Thump, is now in the racks down at Thalia St. Surf Shop in Laguna.
Perfectly pinched rails. Super-Almond Shaped Nose Concave. Glass on Mahogany Huck Finn by the Gull. Green Houndstooth Fabric Inlay Deck Patch. Mmmmm.....
Snag it before I steal it back.

Grand Opening Party
Last night was our big Grand Opening Party. Thanks to all of you who made it out. We had about 300 or 400 people stop by throughout the night.
Big thanks goes out to My Parents, Megan, Jeff, My Grandparents, Jeremy & Brieana, Amanda & Jason, Gully, Taylor, Shaw, Lightner, Theo, Griff, Steve & Tammy, Lauren Sakioka, Jeff Aschieris, Jen Trammell, Chad & Christine, and all of my incredible friends who helped do everything from paint the walls to hanging the sign. And everyone else who I forgot to mention. (Still recovering)
And a big thanks to Gantez Warrior and the V-Guns for providing the tunes last night!

SUP Alaia Fish!
We figured since Stand Up Paddle boards and Alaias have really taken off in popularity, that we would make the world's first Stand Up Paddle Alaia Fish!
It's 7'6 x 32 and weighs a ton....
Alright, I lied... it's just a sign for the shop, but we can always wonder how it would have surfed.
